Content Removal and Complaints Procedure

1. How to report content
This procedure, and the standards it enforces, apply equally to public content, creator storefronts, private messages, tips, and media exchanged in any communication channel on the Platform โ nothing is out of scope simply because it happened in a private conversation.
You can report a piece of content, a post, or a user directly from their profile, a message thread, or a listing, using the built-in "Report" tool. Alternatively, email support@splitclips.co.uk with a link or description of the content and the reason for your report.
2. Priority reports
Reports involving suspected content of a minor, non-consensual content, or an immediate safety risk are treated as top priority and reviewed as a matter of urgency โ typically within hours, not days. Such content is removed immediately pending investigation, not left live during review.
3. Standard reports
All other reports (harassment, copyright, policy violations) are reviewed within 5 business days. We will let the reporting user know once a decision has been made where reasonably possible.
4. What happens after a report
Our moderation team reviews the reported content or account against our Acceptable Use Policy. Depending on the outcome, we may remove the content, warn or suspend the account, permanently terminate it, or take no action if no violation is found.
5. Appeals
A Seller whose content has been removed can appeal by contacting support@splitclips.co.uk with their account username and the content in question. Appeals are reviewed by a different member of the moderation team where possible.
6. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on SplitClips infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@splitclips.co.uk containing: identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed; identification of the material you claim is infringing, with sufficient detail for us to locate it; your contact details; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf. We will investigate valid notices and remove infringing material where the claim is substantiated.
7. Law enforcement
Where a report indicates a serious crime, including any content involving a minor, we cooperate fully with UK and international law enforcement and will make appropriate reports to bodies including the Internet Watch Foundation and NCMEC as required.
